Musical Theatre is a wonderful way to build self-confidence, discover talent, and learn how to work in a team environment to complete a creative project. This program will include formal instruction in dancing, singing, and acting. We will select songs, scenes, and dance numbers from various musical theatre productions to learn, rehearse, and present on our final performance date (TBA). In addition to the 14 weeks of class instruction, this program includes a dress rehearsal and a final performance for families to enjoy. 

Imagination, creativity, and joyful expression are nurtured while students explore movement concepts, develop dance skills, strengthen the body and brain, and connect with others. Students will learn how to use dance and movement to create their own dance stories that they will get to share on the final performance day. They will also learn how movement and dance can support their everyday lives. In addition to the 14 weeks of class instruction, this program includes a dress rehearsal and a final performance for families to enjoy. 

Students will learn the foundational movements of hip hop dancing. Through the exploration of hip hop dance and popular kid friendly music, students get the opportunity to cultivate skills that will help them feel confident dancing at social events. Other skills that will be learned are: body awareness and movement coordination, musicality and rhythm, various styles of hip hop movement, and how to freestyle dance confidently. In addition to the 14 weeks of class instruction, this program includes a dress rehearsal and a final performance for families to enjoy. This is a fun, fast paced, and highly energetic class!
